RURAL JESOLO

Description

After Caporetto (24.10.1917) the war front moved to the Lower Piave and the countryside between the Cavetta canal, the Piave river and the Sile river became a battle zone between the Italian and Austro-Hungarian armies. The Battle of the Piave Island (summer 1918) contributed to the outcome of the final offensive of 4 November 1918.
